Come experience the good life at "The Good House," a lakefront vacation rental on the private waters of Lake Lanier; Lake Lanier is about 150 acres in size.

The Good House is an ideal property for that romantic trip you want to take or for small families looking for a simplified, indulgent vacation. 

Key features of the property include a cozy bedroom with a queen bed that looks out to a lush, large, grassy yard with numerous places to sit and have conversations. Delight in the views from the living room overlooking the water as well as the spacious deck space with outdoor seating and the room that may end up being your favorite on the property - the large screened-in porch. Complete with kayaks and a canoe, you'll make memories here that you'll look upon fondly for the rest of your life. 

The Good House is just big enough to have everything you need and nothing more. There is one full bathroom, a small kitchen, a dining area with seating for 4, and a queen-size pull-out sofa. 

Coming to fish?  You'll most likely catch Largemouth, Striped, and Spotted bass. 

Want to get out and explore? Visit one of Tryon's parks and vineyards or try out the local shops or one of the charming restaurants. Landrum offers several options for antiquing or shopping for collectibles and several good restaurant options.

Area Wide Notice: Lake Lure will undergo a drawdown from January 1st, 2024, through the first quarter of 2024(March 31st). The lake will begin to be lowered by approximately 1 foot per day until 12 feet have been reached. Infrastructure maintenance, dredging, and dam projects will be expedited during this time frame. These efforts by the Town of Lake Lure may affect access to the lake and restrict any lake usage. For more information, click here. The lake will likely be back up to normal levels by mid to late April. While we understand this is an inconvenience, this does allow you to enjoy the full beauty of Lake Lure in the fall and holiday season.   This will not affect the smaller lakes in the area, only Lake Lure itself.

Smoking is prohibited in all of our vacation rental homes.
Pets are not allowed in this home or on the property.

Parking for up to four vehicles.

Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. local time or anytime after.
Check-out time is 10:00 a.m. local time or anytime before.

Cancellation Policy:  If you cancel a confirmed reservation at least 30 days before arrival, there is a $0 cancellation fee.  If you cancel within 30 days, there is no refund. Please note that we always recommend purchasing travel insurance/trip interruption insurance to help protect your investment should something unexpected come up.  Travel insurance is typically 7% of your total trip cost, and coverage details are available on the checkout page.

Note: Cancellation policies may vary on other marketing sites, but it is ALWAYS most affordable to book directly with us at Carolina Properties. Booking direct also enables a guest loyalty discount, available across our many properties upon your second stay. 

Rates & Availability

Cancellation Policy: One hundred percent (100.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 30 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.
