*** Summer 2025 - Lake Lure Update ***

Per the website www.townoflakelure.com: Lake Use in 2025- Town Council and Town leadership are keenly aware of the importance of reopening the Lake as soon as it is safe to do so. Given the timing of the work that has been completed thus far and the need for ongoing work moving forward, it is extremely unlikely that the Lake will be able to open for the 2025 summer season. (This includes motorized and non-motorized vessels and swimming.) For those of you who have been following our storm recovery process closely, this news may not be a surprise to you. I thought it was important to share this news with you directly. Please note that Town Council and Town leadership will continue to evaluate options for opening the Lake or portions of the Lake and we will continue to keep you informed with any updates as new information becomes available.

Welcome to Brookside Retreat!

This lovely home is about 10 minutes away from beautiful Lake Lure and is a lovely choice to come and unplug and enjoy all that Lake Lure has to offer. Equipped with an Electric Vehicle Car Charger, three spacious bedrooms, a fire pit, a gas grill, and a big outdoor area. This beautiful home has everything you need to kick back, relax, and enjoy your vacation!

Brookside Retreat sleeps six people comfortably with three bedrooms and two bathrooms; four-legged family members are also welcome (we allow two dogs for no additional charge).

On the main level, you'll find a fully equipped kitchen ready for you to prepare your meals. Sit down for a nice family dinner in the dining area that seats up to six next to the spacious living room area, or take your plates to the back patio and enjoy dinner with a forest view.

Upstairs - you'll find the Master Bedroom with a King Bed, an attached bathroom with a claw foot tub, and a beautifully renovated shower with two shower heads. Right outside the master bedroom is a game area with a foosball table!
The main level also has two bedrooms, each with a queen-sized bed and a second bathroom.

The beauty of a vacation in the Blue Ridge Mountains can only be enhanced by its remote location and solitude! Therefore, please be advised that the WIFI in this area can be unstable. Downloading, streaming, and/or video conferencing may be limited.

Guests have full access to the entire property.

Other things to note: We are fortunate to be in an area where many species of wildlife make their home. We hope you will get to see plenty of deer, birds, and bunnies during your stay. You also have the chance to see other wildlife that, while cute or exciting, could harm you. Some of those animals are bears and various species of poisonous snakes. It is best to watch your step when walking and be aware of your surroundings, especially at night when our night vision isn’t so great. It is also wise not to leave food unattended or outside overnight because many of these animals consider them tasty treats. While fun and cute to watch, it is dangerous for us and them.

Smoking is prohibited in all of our vacation rental homes.
Parking for four vehicles.
Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. local time or anytime after.
Check-out time is 10:00 a.m. local time or anytime earlier.

Rates & Availability

Cancellation Policy: One hundred percent (100.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 14 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. Fifty percent (50.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 7 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 7 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.
