Lake Use in 2025- Town Council and Town leadership are keenly aware of the importance of reopening the Lake as soon as it is safe to do so. Given the timing of the work that has been completed thus far and the need for ongoing work moving forward, it is extremely unlikely that the Lake will be able to open for the 2025 summer season. (This includes motorized and non-motorized vessels and swimming.) For those of you who have been following our storm recovery process closely, this news may not be a surprise to you. I thought it was important to share this news with you directly. Please note that Town Council and Town leadership will continue to evaluate options for opening the Lake or portions of the Lake and we will continue to keep you informed with any updates as new information becomes available.

COVE POINTE is a beautiful log home with a magnificent dock located in Rumbling Bald Resort. Offering 2,700 square feet of living space, this 4BR/2.5BA log home is a fabulous Lake Lure retreat! Grill out on your elegant deck and unwind on an impressive private dock that many would call perfect! The prestigious Rumbling Bald Resort amenities include pools, a fitness center, trails, tennis courts, golf courses, a private beach, restaurants, and more!

Living Area The Great Room possesses lofty ceilings and a gas fireplace with a floor-to-ceiling stone surround viewable from the comfortable and centrally located sofa. A half bath is easily accessible from here, as well as access to one of the decks. Step down to the sun-soaked reading nook and cozy up with a good book; frankly, regardless of the weather or time of day, this unique home amenity is sure to please. The lower-level family room includes a 50” TV, a sofa, and a table for four that you are sure to find convenient for work, study, or memorable conversations.

Kitchen and Dining Cooking is fun and easy in the spacious kitchen, featuring newer appliances and ample counter space. Serve appetizers at the kitchen bar with seating for four and sit down to meals at the dining table for eight just adjacent.

Bed and Bath This three-story home sleeps nine guests in four bedrooms. The loft area is considered the master bedroom with a king bed and twin if traveling with little ones. The loft has a private bath and a comfortable relaxation nook that leads to a lake-view balcony. The second bedroom is furnished with two twin beds, while the third and fourth bedrooms each offer a queen bed and deck access. The guest bathroom has a new walk-in shower, and a half bath provides added convenience.

Waterfront Outdoor Areas The wraparound patio is detailed with bistro tables. Barbecue on the four-burner gas grill, then dine al fresco on the picturesque side deck. Pack a picnic and head to your private dock, which features several loungers and enough clearance to dock your boat! Rumbling Bald Resort amenities include shared indoor/outdoor pools, a fitness center, a shared spa, tennis courts, golf courses, restaurants, a marina, a boat launch, and a private beach.

There is complimentary Wi-Fi, a washer/dryer, and parking for three vehicles in the driveway. This home has internet suitable for average work and social needs, but like most homes in the region, this rental is not best suited for guests with heavy internet needs during their stay. Kayaks, canoes, SUP, and pontoon boats can be rented from The North Shore Cabana from Memorial Week-Thanksgiving. Note: Check if the Carolina Properties pontoon boat is available to rent for the best rate and the most convenience. We'll deliver it right to your dock, and you'll have it for at least two days. 

The Location Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Lake Lure has been recognized as one of the ten most beautiful man-made lakes in the world by National Geographic - you've just got to see it! From hiking, swimming, kayaking, and fishing to driving through the mountains with the windows rolled down - unforgettable outdoor adventures are at your doorstep. Head 12.5 miles to Chimney Rock to enjoy the shops or hike Chimney Rock State Park to experience stunning views from its 535-million-year-old granite monolith!

Check-out time is 10:00 a.m. local time or anytime earlier.

Cancellation Policy:  

If you cancel a confirmed reservation at least 30 days before arrival, there is a $0 cancellation fee.  If you cancel within 30 days, there is no refund. Please note that we always recommend purchasing travel insurance/trip interruption insurance to help protect your investment should something unexpected come up.  Travel insurance is typically 7% of your total trip cost, and coverage details are available on the checkout page.

Note: Cancellation policies may vary on other marketing sites, but it is ALWAYS most affordable to book directly with us at Carolina Properties. Booking direct also enables a guest loyalty discount, available across our many properties upon your second stay. 

Rates & Availability

Cancellation Policy: One hundred percent (100.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 30 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.
