Lake Therapy was completely rebuilt in 2013; the design was forward-thinking (on par with today’s highest standards), and careful, expert attention to detail is evident throughout.

The main level's open floor plan features a gorgeous chef’s kitchen with seating for six at the oversized island and a family-sized table to seat six more. This kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, wine cooler, two sinks, and designer lighting (also found throughout the rest of this beautiful home). You’ll love cooking and entertaining here!

Consistent solid-surface flooring adds to the cozy, modern-farmhouse vibe. The "cozy" continues in front of the lovely fireplace in the living room, as well as in the adjoining large nook--with a lake view. This is the spot that begs you to unwind and enjoy the lasting moment!

The main level includes a king bedroom and full bath with two access points, allowing it to also serve as the main bathroom on this level. Downstairs, two bedrooms--one king, one queen--share a full bath. All are spacious, with HGTV-worthy updates, and the tray ceilings in the bedrooms are sure to impress!

How about those Views? In a word: WOW!

Windows everywhere yield spectacular views of the trees, the lake, and Chimney Rock. You’ll stop and stare from nearly every room! Outside, upper and lower decks surrounding the house are great vantage points for more oohing and aahing at the glorious natural bounty.

The boathouse has a large upper deck on the lake that will add even more enjoyment!    NOTE: (boathouse shared with one neighbor)

Venture out and about to the town of Lake Lure, Chimney Rock Village, and Chimney Rock State Park. Great eateries, shopping, and abundant natural treasures await. Less than an hour away is Asheville and the Biltmore Estate. Enjoy a leisurely, stunningly-scenic drive along with one of the most beautiful stretches of roadway in the country, the Blue Ridge Parkway. 

There is a small parking capacity at this property, but there’s no doubt that Lake Therapy will deliver on every component of your most-desirable escape!

Wonderful Outdoor Spaces 
If you want to get a little closer to nature, to the right of the bank of windows is the door to the deck.  This is the perfect spot to enjoy your morning beverage or relax from the full afternoon sun. If you prefer the sun, the spacious deck offers plenty of options. Relax on the dock or the deck atop the boathouse. There is also a canoe and paddleboard for guest use.

Perfect Every Season
With the area's temperate climate and beauty, this home can be enjoyed throughout the year. Springtime brings the blooming of the dogwood and redbud trees as well as the azaleas, rhododendron, and mountain laurel. Summer brings lush greenery, and the autumn colors are extraordinary. Autumn's red and gold hues are breathtaking; the region is known for its fall colors. Winters are mild, and with less tree obstruction, views are incredible.

You are welcome to bring a boat (town permit required) to tie to the dock. Also, bring water toys for the children (or young at heart).

Smoking is prohibited in all of our vacation rental homes.

Pets are not allowed in this home or on the property.

Parking for two (2) vehicles.

Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. local time (or anytime later).
Check-out time is 10:00 a.m. local time (or anytime earlier).

Cancellation Policy:  
If you cancel a confirmed reservation outside of 30 days before arrival, there is just a $50 cancellation fee to help cover credit card costs and time.  If you cancel within 30 days, there is no refund unless we get the home rebooked.  If the home is rebooked for your canceled dates, we will refund all but the $50 cancellation fee.  Please note that we always recommend purchasing travel insurance/trip interruption insurance to help protect your investment should something unexpected come up.  Travel insurance is typically 6.95% of your total trip cost, and coverage details are available on the checkout page.

Rates & Availability

Cancellation Policy: One hundred percent (100.00%) of the total booking charges (less $50.00 cancellation fee) will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 30 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.
